Joe McKinney

THE DANCING MAN - in production

The Dancing Man is a documentary about the life of Joe McKinney. Joe was a jobbing actor when he was cast as the lead in a Guinness commercial, a phenomenon that would change his life forever. Overnight, Joe became the most famous man in Ireland. ‘The Dancing Man’ went viral before the term ‘viral’ existed. However, despite being the talk of the town - he also became the most unemployable actor in the country. Typecast, a turbulent change of existence followed. A dangerous alcohol problem. A mistrust of people. A broken engagement. Suddenly, Joe found himself broke and in rehab. At rock bottom, he started again.
